Assembling Your Own EQ Toolkit
Pull the practices from this module into a small, personal toolkit you can actually run during a live trading session.
A Toolkit You Will Actually Use
A toolkit is only useful if it is short enough to run mid-session. The point of this lesson is not to collect every technique from the module. The point is to pick the small handful that consistently move your own state, write them down in the order you will run them, and keep them on the desk.
A reasonable toolkit covers four moments:
- Pre-open: a short body scan (breath, posture, one-word state) and the pre-trade checklist.
- Pre-trade: one breath cycle, then the five-line checklist (setup, direction, stop, size, one reason this fits today).
- Post-loss: the reset sequence (step away, breath, water, one-line journal entry, re-entry criterion).
- Post-session: one line in the journal on state, one line on what to adjust tomorrow.
Most traders converge on the same small set inside two weeks of honest use. The toolkit is personal, but the shape is consistent.
Educational only. Trading involves substantial risk of loss and is not suitable for every investor. Nothing in this course predicts or guarantees that you will pass an evaluation or keep a funded account. Past performance is not indicative of future results.
